Well ...I have owned a number of different guitars for different reasons. I tend to look for a specific guitar with a specific voice, rather than a whole line of instruments. I have owned both Fender and Gibson and liked each of them (granted, the process of CHOOSING each of them involved playing every guitar in the shop). Have you played the new Fender American standards? Neat stuff. They put a hard finish on the maple fingerboards and a satin finish on the back of the neck for a slicker feel. (sorry ...was working in Guitar Center when they came out!)

GUITAR?! So lets talk guitars! I don't really play much anymore, but I have a Zion electric, that I just love. It's kind of a Strat like guitar- a small boutiquey company in Minnesota makes them. I'm a Fender fan, but my kid (who plays rings around me) thinks Gibsons are the only way to go. ^_^
