I am a retiree who has been divorced for quite a few years. I finished raising my two daughters on my own who are now the mothers of my four grandchildren. I enjoy certain webcomics and find it interesting to learn more about the artists themselves. They are people, you know!

Barb, I realize that I'm still fairly new to this but it seems that everytime I check out Xyliatales, I'm seeing more depth to your artwork than I've seen before. Keep up the great work!!

Hi, Barb, enjoyed the update and I can certainly understand how this winter gave you inspiration. I live in Waukegan, Illinois, up the lake shore from Chicago and within fifteen minutes of the Wisconsin state line. So far, the only inspiration I've gotten from this winter is to hope for its end. The standing joke up here is, "I saw my first robin of the spring, it was in a snowbank, frozen stiff." Keep up the great work, I have faith in you!
