I'm a huge fan of A Capella music. It's really hard to do well. Since you can't hide behind your instrumentals when you make mistakes vocally, it takes precision and a real ear for harmony and a good sense of rhythm. Vocal music is my art form of choice. A Capella is my favorite medium. I've been in several A Capella groups - from comedy to jazz to barbershop (Baritone / Tenor). Occasionally I peruse YouTube to see what is out there. I was doing that last night when I found this gem from Bob Corbett - a somewhat unknown jazz artist from Australia. In this video he utilizes a looping machine to "compose" in real time a rather amazing solo A Capella piece. It starts slow, but stick with it ... it only gets better with time!
