Thinspo??? Dear god we are doomed

Wanted to know. Who else here has heard of thinspo aka thinspiration???

I stumbled across it on youtube and I am seriously disturbed!

Thinspo for those of you who don't know basically suggests that size 0 is the high of beauty and that any girl with even a once of normal fat is overweight.

Once again i say i was disturbed!

Women come in all shapes and sizes and size 0 is not for everyone. Sure some women are pieit and they are beautiful but some of us have curves and that is beautiful too!

So whats your opinion???

I think healthy is the key word, and while some gals are a size zero naturally and can be healthy, most are not. That's like saying only muscular (like Hulk-sized, not just fit) men are handsome. I've struggled hardcore to lose weight, dropping roughly 70 pounds, but I'll likely always have some jiggle when I wiggle and I'm cool with that, lol. I think the women/men who have a good self-image about themselves and can realize that personality just overwhelms physical looks anyways, those are the ones that are "beautiful". The rest who read magazines and fight tooth and nail to be who the magazines say they should be, as much as my heart goes out for them, will never be happy because they never will consider themselves "beautiful" because they always rely on other people's views of themselves rather than loving themselves.

I am with you Ian, it sound like something I would use to clean the toilett with.
And that whole idea sounds totally disturbing and non healthy plus it doesn't sound like you can enjoy your meals, and suddenly I am quit happy with my totally nondieting ways even if I do need to lose some weight and get some muscles instead.

As a girl who is nor "beautiful" nor "pretty" but "kawaï", I'm with you. Moreover I'm quite short, so I can't wear pretty dresses because I've no long legs to show.
But one thing very thin girls don't have and I do have : breasts ! ^^
And I'm ok with it !
