Hey, there ! Maybe some people here still remember me... ;)
Il used to come every day.
But I had family issues, quite bad, and I was totally absorbed in my work, so, even if I never stopped reading Xylia, I had too little time to come here and chat with you.

Now, I achieved my degree, and I'm on holiday ! It was what we call here in France a Master 2, and I think it's what you would call a post-graduate diploma. It's the last diploma you can get before completing a PhD. At least, it is here. I don't know how it works in America.

Then here am I, and I'm sorry I've been away such a long time.
But I'm going on holidays in Spain on july 15th, for 2 weeks, and I won't have an Internet connection, so I will disappear once again ! But I'm alive and well.

And the last Xylia update is great ! Love it !

Thank you both ! ^^

Barb : I read English quite fluently so you don't have to hold back what you write. ^^ I read books in English very often. (I'm currently reading one : a Jaz Parks novel by Jennifer Rardin)

I think we would all actually LOVE to hear what you call a 'frightful pronunciation'. ^_^ French accents are quite the bomb, you see!! :D

And I agree with Joseph- there are so many American and British English dialects that some of them are hard to understand too!!

But I assure you that when you write, everything comes across perfectly, in fact I don't hold back what I write to you, becuase I assume that you will understand it perfectly.! Consider yourself a fluent English typer anyway!

No, it shouldn't, but when people can't understand what I say because of my frightfull pronunciation, that's quite annoying... ^^

Marie? You sound "frenchy?" Should this be a surprise?
Marie Comment by Marie on July 8, 2009 at 3:52pm
LOL ! It's just so difficult to express what I want to say that my words seem awkward to me. I'm glad you don't feel like they are. (Happily you can't hear my accent... even when I speak English I sound very frenchy ! ;-) )

Marie- your English is always excellent! I'm always surprised when you worry about it!

Thanks to you all ! :-)
My family issues are still here, but I manage to handle them quite well.
And yeah, this summer will be exciting, and next year, I'll have a mountain of work to do, but it's necessary if I want to be a teacher of latin and greek.
A very tiring but very interesting year is to come.

I'm happy to be with you again. I missed you all ! (and I think my English has turned very bad because of my lack of practice ! )

Hi Marie! Of COURSE we remember you!

That is some exciting news! Thanks for checking in with us as you move through your challenging summer! It sounds like you have some exciting things coming up, so I hope you have an enjoyable time in Spain. We'll still be here when you get back!

Hugs,~B
