I don't really intend to keep a blog here. I have a different journal for that, and lord knows that one is more than enough. I don't even fill it all that often. But, I thought I'd put something down for others to get to know me some.
A) I'm an introvert. I don't talk much. I say what needs to be said, and I don't say much otherwise. I'm not going to post a lot of 'fluffy' things. (By fluff, I mean of the "Yeah, me too!" variety.)
B) I'm in my 30s, married, no kids yet (working on it).
C) I manage a website development team during the day.
D) For fun, I'm a coder on a Star Wars MUD (multi-user dungeon) and run its website. I'm a fairly big Star Wars geek, but only in that I have an entire bookcase of SW books, comics, and gaming guides. (I keep it all as research for the MUD too.) I have a few other SW odds and ends too.
E) Oh, did I mention I met my husband online through the MUD? We just passed our 4th anniversary.
F) I am part of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) in the Kingdom of Meridies, Shire of Glaedenfeld. (That's Nashville, Tennessee, USA in the mundane world.)
G) I've been lax on taking my ju-jitsu/taekwondo class of late, but I do that some on the side also. (Not generally a good idea to get beat in the stomach if you're trying to get pregnant though.)
H) I like gaming, but I've never done the D&D d6 or d20 roleplaying. I play card and board games, like WOW:CCG, Munchkin (of all varieties), Settlers of Catan, Betrayal at the House on the Hill, Arkham Horror, Apples to Apples (I knew about it before Jessica Alba did!), Killer Bunnies, Kill Dr. Lucky (and other "Cheapass Games"), The Order Of The Stick boardgame, Fluxx, Ingenious, and a whole bunch of other games that most of you have probably never heard of.
I) I've been known to play Texas Hold'em Poker too. =)
I first saw Talismen advertised on www.thewebcomiclist.com, and I've been here since Chapter 1. =)
I followed Barb to Xylia afterward.
