Neat - a character in a game that breaks the "fourth wall" of the game! I think a few druid characters in Balder's Gate do that as well.

Can pretty much any Final Fantasy to this list, lol. I've been hooked on Dissidia, and the game keeps track of how many consecutive days you play - I'm up to around 35 - and a character in the game itself has told me I play too much and that it wi...

Thanks for sharing with us. Your mum sounds like a wonderful person with strength unequaled to many. I hope you'll be finding what strength you need in yourself and in her example. I do not pray, but I will nonetheless send encouraging thoughts yo...

Yep. I'm currently a coder on SWmud.org:6666 (same name). It's exceptionally time-consuming, and I've not a ton of free time, so it's slow going. At present I'm working on a large Rebel base (from the extended universe). We use a highly-modified version of the old Nightmare mudlib - the mud's been around since 1992 - opened in 1993.

Today is the day

For those of you who have been wondering, I go into surgery today for a thyroid tumor. The surgeon decided that my entire thyroid needed to come out in order to simplify the surgery.

Despite the hope I have, I am afraid. I do not wish to die and ,even more, I do not wish to leave my husband without someone to watch over him.

But one way or another, everything will be finished this evening around seven o'clock. Please keep me in mind around three o'clock.

I only hope I can make my peace with i… Continue

Games Galore

After Allan's hard-hitting statements regarding gaming, I realized how important a "good" game is to my life. A good game is like a good book, something that can take you away from the stress of reality. So, along that vein, I will share a few of my favorite games with you, why I like them and my own personal rating - Stiff Necks. Note: One Stiff Neck is comparable to one thumb up. I chose a "Stiff Neck" due to the pull of a game to keep me hunched over the computer and thus end up with a stiff… Continue

Like men who have no hope....

We all know that we have very little, if no, control over our lives. But I think we can not help but attempt to take control, especially when things are going well. You know, take responsibility for all the wonderful things in our lives - like the new promotion that will mean you can get that bigger house, or you got into your dream college by getting that great scholarship, or that extremely hot person who sat next to you at in the Jiffy Lube not only agreed to go out with you but turns out to… Continue

And the score is.....

Last year, I wrote about my struggles with a low fat diet and how much stress I felt at the way our society degrades people of ample curves. I still struggle with these issues, but I have such good news today that I must share it.

As of this morning's weigh-in, I had lost (drum roll please)....................... 93 pounds.

Of course, the fact that I have had mild flu-like symptoms for the last few days probably helped. Still, I am excited!!!!!

Even having lost 93 pounds, I still have a long… Continue

My muse carries a sheillieglie!

Sorry it has been a while. Got lost in life and I have finally fought my way out.

Anyway, I have gotten hooked on the new Dr Who series lately. (Fabulous, BTW.) This fascination quickly grew into an obsession, I am embarrassed to relate. In order to break this obsession, I have dived into waters I have never attempted to swim before. Namely - fan fiction.

My first story went swimmingly. Everything turned out just the way I wanted it to, my characters didn't decide to go off in another directio… Continue
