This was great. Do you know that you sound disturbingly very much like the actor Anthony Head who played Giles in Buffy and also plays king Uther in Merlin? Which in my book is a compliment since I like his voice. ;)

Thanks, that is a compliment. I have actually tried to imitate him at times before, though I hadn't even thought of it in this case. I'm not as close I think when I'm just doing myself with an English accent, but I was trying to make Claude a little bit lighter to get that soft-spoken quality Barb mentioned, and that may have done it.

Well, ya nailed Claudius. I'm not even going to try. :) Nice shootin' Tex...and nice variety in your voice. That's not easy. I really liked your Ambrosia...there's a weight of the world about him that comes through. Deimos might have been a little too relaxed, but I liked your interpretation...languidly evil. :)

Your Ambrosius is awesome. But my favorite is Deimos. When I listened to your version of Claudius my first thought was that you would sound great as Deimos and I was right. :)

Well, thank you! :-) I could wish, particularly on Ambrosia, that it managed to keep the same resonance on playback as it seemed to have as I said it, but ah well. Deimos was actually a bit easier because I wasn't specifically trying to match anyone, though there are thing I could wish were better on him as well. I do feel I nailed them fairly well at least in some bits, anyway.

So um.. I'm Won Mi (Kim if you want to get formal), and I've been a reader of Xylia since the day it started and a fan of Barb's work before Xylia.. >.>

Um.. So, I made my attempts at two voices that haven't been tried out for yet: Xylia and Adora

I won't lie, I am not happy with them, but I decided to give it a whirl.

Er.. Enjoy?

**Personal criticism on the recordings:

-I spoke a bit too fast while recording Xylia's voice x.x
-To me (in the recording), Xylia sounds like she finds Claudius's death to be amusing.. Eh maybe it could be, in a sadistic way? O_o
-Adora's voice I'm just not satisfied in general with. I think it's because I can't really capture the mellow, yet adult tone she'd have.

Please don't mind my personal criticism, but they just had to be added.

Hi Won Mi! Welcome to this thread. :) Yay, we have a Xylia entry now! And I think you're being a wee bit hard on yourself. Both of those entries sound fine to me. And I'm a Talismen fan too. Barb's work continually amazes me.
I really enjoy watching her draw live on the webcam.
