When I have some time to play games, I love strategy games or wargames or city-builders. Especially "antiquity-like" ones. :-D Caesar IV is one of my favorites. Good graphics for a city-builder ! And it's interesting, you have to look after many t...

Neat - a character in a game that breaks the "fourth wall" of the game! I think a few druid characters in Balder's Gate do that as well.

Today is the day

For those of you who have been wondering, I go into surgery today for a thyroid tumor. The surgeon decided that my entire thyroid needed to come out in order to simplify the surgery.

Despite the hope I have, I am afraid. I do not wish to die and ,even more, I do not wish to leave my husband without someone to watch over him.

But one way or another, everything will be finished this evening around seven o'clock. Please keep me in mind around three o'clock.

I only hope I can make my peace with i… Continue

Games Galore

After Allan's hard-hitting statements regarding gaming, I realized how important a "good" game is to my life. A good game is like a good book, something that can take you away from the stress of reality. So, along that vein, I will share a few of my favorite games with you, why I like them and my own personal rating - Stiff Necks. Note: One Stiff Neck is comparable to one thumb up. I chose a "Stiff Neck" due to the pull of a game to keep me hunched over the computer and thus end up with a stiff… Continue

Like men who have no hope....

We all know that we have very little, if no, control over our lives. But I think we can not help but attempt to take control, especially when things are going well. You know, take responsibility for all the wonderful things in our lives - like the new promotion that will mean you can get that bigger house, or you got into your dream college by getting that great scholarship, or that extremely hot person who sat next to you at in the Jiffy Lube not only agreed to go out with you but turns out to… Continue

WoW and gaming in general

I'm a big hater of WoW. To me it's a rip of good MUDs in the past with no due credit given. The player base, to me, is too chock full of stupid kids whose parents only subscribe to keep them out of their hair. My claims are substantiated by my first and only foray into the game which consisted of 5 hours of patch downloading, followed by an hour of "Wtf? This is retarded" followed by 20 minutes of being called a newb by little idiots after asking for help in finding a quest location. So you coul… Continue

Critiques? Advice? Anybody? :P

So snap to, 4 AM, just woke up, bored out of my mind, doing a little bit of research on wikipedia for kicks and giggles. Come upon this little section in the Dolph Lundgren article about his house being broken into. COMIC IDEA! Apparently three people broke into his house, tied up his wife and kids, then promptly left when they realized whose house they were robbing. In comes the He-Man joke. I realize this comic won't be exactly politically correct, but the idea of it... well, it made me laugh… Continue
